Cherbourg and more

Sunday, the entire family headed to a local chateau that was hosting a Marché de Noël as seen in the picture below.

Afterwards, we all headed to Cherbourg to take in the Christmas parades and finish up more last minute shopping.

Katie and I did not know about the parades and were surprised when they started coming down the street. This was the first one that we saw.

"I got a fever!" These French kids were totally dancing around and rocking the cowbell. It was sweet! All I could think of was this: Click Here

There is nothing like window shopping in France during Christmas especially at the pâtisseries, boulangeries, et chocolatiers. Their displays are always so impressive and delicious looking. In the middle here, you can see a Bûche de Noël (Christmas log) which is a traditional sweet dessert served at Christmas time in France.

The lamp post and cart in front of it are both made of chocolate.
