Saturday: Roma, Italia

ben and i had a near-impossible task of taking on rome in just 2 1/2 days...i love this city and wanted nothing more than for ben to be as passionate as i am about everything that makes rome, rome...the amazing history, ancient ruins, lively side streets leading to grand piazzas (...that's plazas, not pizzas....) :) the countless fountains and cappacinos to be drunk while watching them. Not to mention the way you're taken aback when you see the Colosseum for the first time....or second or third. Learning about the Sistine Chapel as you're standing directly beneath it...or simply enjoying the subtle fall colors of pale yellow, burnt orange, and rust red that paint the city's buildings...

yes, this city enchants me...

the last glimpse of the sunset.

Piazza del Popolo

classic smart car parking job

Spanish Steps...designed by the Italians, paid for by the French, and named after the Spanish

Trevi Fountain-largest fountain in Rome named for the "tre vie" or three roads that meet at this spot.

you'll never be in short supply of naked statues here!
