Sevilla, Spain

In Màlaga, Katie and I were told by a fortune teller that we must go to Sevilla, the birthplace of tapas, bullfights and flemenco, and partake in the ancient ritual of tapa hopping. Ok, I just made all that up as an excuse for us to eat more tapas in Sevilla and Sevilla IS said to be the birthplace of tapas, bullfights and flemenco....so what better place to hit up next?

love it, Katie and I definitely practiced this yoga while in Spain.

big tree

ahhh the tree is melting! The trees roots looked like they were dripping off of the branches. freaky.

Plaza de España

Mid-air air guitar

Around the Plaza de España are painted tiles with scenes of the history... of Spain's major cities. Here is our trip so far...

a fun pond/fountain

I was just stretching my back when Katie snapped this photo.

talk about tourist exploitation--they actually SOLD bird feed packets for 1€50 to the suckers who had nothing better to do with there coins...

wet willy!!!!

ha! love it, Katie Sauve

After a long day of wandering around Sevilla, it was time to for some "tapa hopping" come and join us...
This was the first stop was El Rinconcillo. This bar was opened in 1670 (older than our country) and in my opinion serves a mean spinach garbonzo beans tapa in Spain.

oh yeah, spinach and garbonzo beans

There was a religious parade that was happening this night. This float was being carried by eight grown men, this thing must have been heavy!

At the next stop, anchoives in herbed vinegar, sounds disgusting but tasted delicious.

Another part of the religious festival were street musicians with dancers - video to come in later posting.

Jamon Ibérica - expensive and excellent

The cross walks had a count down and this green walking man that Katie loved. Video camera feature on our camera broke so this picture will give you an idea.

Next stop.

Patatas bravas, potatoes in a spicy sauce. awesome!

Last tapa hopping stop.

The ambiance was better than the food and wine here.

Every true traveler comes to a point where they run out of clean clothes to wear, sometimes you are left with an outfit that you would never logically put together yourself. The picture above is a perfect example of this. Sit back and share a laugh with (and at) me.
