Raclette Dinner

unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of the actually dinner, which is a major bummer cuz it was so cool. Raclette is a type of cheese here that is melted at the table (like fondue, but a different contraption) and drizzled over meats, potatoes, vegies, and bread. They had a HUGE wheel of cheese-probably a 1 foot diameter-that was stuck into this metal thing that had a heating unit that constantly yet slowly, thankfully, melted the cheese which you can scrape off onto your plate. yummy!!

Place de la Bourse

France's week of Breast Cancer Awareness. the water was pink!

after dinner we met up with some of Elodie's friends at a restaurant/bar. we had so much fun! they definetly played "Cotton-Eyed Joe" and we congo-line danced around the tables. the above pic was during (i think this is right) a regional song/dance thing where you sit on the floor, or you can stand, and rock your upper half back and forth (kinda like doing an upright ab workout) with your arms above you head.

doing said "dance" and body surfing your friends....
